Hotels and Resorts in Egypt Meals:

Egypt Tours will guide you and help you to choose the best meal plan in each hotel and resort which will meet your requirements and budget:

Meal Plan will be one or more from the following options:

BO: Bed only without meals.

BB: Bed and breakfast (Breakfast included)

HB: Half Board (Breakfast and dinner included)

FB: Full Board (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

AI: All Inclusive (All meals “breakfast, lunch and dinner” included in addition to beverage).

Gala Dinners for Christmas Eve on 24th of December and New Year Eve on 31st of December are usually compulsory “obligatory” with supplement.   

 

General Important Tips about Egypt Hotels and Resorts:

+ Prices are usually based on standard rooms on run of the house basis “ROH”.

+ Rooms with special views are always subject to supplement such as Nile View, Pyramids View, Pool View and Sea View.   

+ Hotels and resorts usually add supplements during Peak periods such as Christmas and New Year, Easter, All Saints, Eid El Adha, Eid El Fitr (after Ramadan Holly Islamic Month) Peak periods.

+ Winter High season starts from 01 October till 30 April.

+ Summer seasons starts from 01 May till 30 Sep with 15 July till end of August as High Season.

+ Please revise exact All inclusive formula for each hotel or resort as it varies from each hotel or resort to another. Usually local alcoholics are included. All imported hard drinks and liquors are against charge. Usually beverage is served by glass.

+ Most hotels and resorts provide meals either on buffet style or set menu style.

+ Meals included in rates are usually provided in the main restaurant only.

+ Meals included are only food.

+ Any beverage or drinks “Water and soft or hard or hot drinks” are usually against charge unless you are in an all inclusive meal plan.

+ Other restaurants and outlets will be against charge and some hotels give a credit limit “instead of eating at main restaurant” for other restaurants and outlets”.   

+ A la Carte menus are usually against charge, you might have credit limit in A la Carte restaurants if you are on half board or full board or all inclusive basis.

+ Prices for food, beverage and drinks are usually subject to service charge and taxes to be added on published rates and menus.

+ Rooms Service, Laundry, telephone calls, internet service and access, business centre services, hair dressers, all personal services, etc are against charges and subject to service charges and taxes.    

+ Some Hotels especially in Cairo and Alexandria and all 5* hotels and resorts publish their rates on bed only basis and excluding all taxes and service charges. Please check if rates including any meals and taxes or not.

+ Please check if hotels or resort provide dine around between restaurant, as it will be a nice experience instead of daily buffet style and usually will be against supplement.

+ It is recommended to settle all your personal extras at the hotels, the night before check-out to avoid any delay in the early morning or any problems might occur and to revise carefully your bill. Cashiers might be very crowded in the morning during check-outs.

+ Most of Credit Cards “Visa, Master Card, American Express, diners, etc are widely used in all hotels for paying bills.

+ ATM Machines and Banks are available in most 4* and 5* hotels and resorts.

+ Maximum room occupancy are 3 persons.

+ No quadriple rooms are available in most hotels.

+ Please ask for room bedding (large Kings size bed or 2 twin beds), smoking or non smoking rooms to be put as preference with high priority. Still might be subject to hotel availability in some hotels. 

 

Taxes and Service Charges:

- Taxes and service charges on accommodation are (12% service charge, 10% sales tax, tourist tax 0.08 USD per person per night and 2% municipality tax approx. 25.5%) to be added on total bill and published internet prices of each hotel or resort in Egypt.

- Taxes and service charges on food and beverage are (12% service charge and 10% sales tax) to be added on total bill and published internet prices of each hotel or resort in Egypt.

 

Check-in and Check out:

- Check-in time: 14.00

- Check-out time: 12.00

- Early check-ins will be accommodated subject to availability.

- Guaranteed early check-in will be subject to one night charge.

- Late check-out 12.00 to 18.00 will be against charge approx 50%.

- Late check-out after 18.00 – 1 night charge.

 

Children Policy: “Children up to 11.99 years Old”

+ Please check children policy as it varies from hotel to another.

+ Also, please check family plan in case you have more than one child under 12 years old.

+ Only one extra bed is allowed per each room usually against.

+ Baby cots are usually available with no charge. 

+ Hotel allow one child only some hotels allow maximum of 2 children sharing parents rooms

+ Some hotels have connecting rooms and it might be against supplement in some hotels.

+ Some hotels charge the meals with discounted rates for children.

 

Honeymooners

Honeymooners at hotel might receive a complimentary upgrade to higher room category or Junior suite (subject to availability) and a complimentary cake for two persons upon arrival.

A copy of the wedding certificate is requested at reservation time.

This offer is valid within three months after the wedding date.
